As a part of my thesis project at Emily Carr University, I designed several textile wearables made from creatively repurposed materials.

A shrug made from deconstructed denim threads. 100% cotton, and 100% slow processes.

Skirt compiled from 2 different pairs of pants

An everyday bag designed from upcycled khaki pants, utilizing and honouring previous design and craftsmanship and transforming it into something new.

A crocheted cardigan, utilizing the original yarn from a donated sweater.

A men's button-up tailored to me, through fit, style, and expression.

A pair of jeans transformed into shorts with block-printed visuals, alongside a denim belt.
These articles were designed without a specific desired outcome in mind, but were more focused on DIY practices and expression, while considering the labour that goes into apparel production. They were made to accompany a zine discussing these methods, which is available under the section "Information Design" on this website.
