An organic, patternless crochet vest made of all protein fibres.
This project speaks to the disconnect we experience from how textile materials are sourced, simultaneously providing me the opportunity to understand the complexities of textile construction down to the fibre.

Initial Project Description:
This project intends to examine crochet construction down to how yarn is made, dyed, and woven. I also want to go beyond classic patterning, stitching, and construction and explore form intuitively through freeform crochet.
Inspiration is found in replication of things seen in nature, such as fluid forms, wrapping/vining, and the shape of the sun's rays and flowers. Crochet samples are all patternless and different methods of freeform.
